TreePlotter JOBS allows users to create and build a custom Estimate for a specific client. The Estimate has both a table view of estimated work tasks and a map view of the client job site that represents a collection of inventoried trees.
Origins of an Estimate
An Estimate is originated from a service request which may be initiated from an existing client or a new client. Once a service request has been approved, the option to create the Estimate will appear. Note: an Estimate cannot be created without a service request.
Map View and Table View
There are two views available within the Estimate Builder:
Map View
- A map that represents the job site and any inventoried trees
- New trees may be added to the job site within the Estimate by clicking on the map
- Work Tasks may be added directly to trees
Table View
- A table view that represents a list of all currently defined work tasks within the Estimate which may be grouped into different sections
- New work tasks, not associated to a specific tree, may be added to the Estimate directly
Sections
An Estimate is created with a single default section where work tasks are saved and can be viewed with the table view.
Additional sections can be created to further group work tasks based on specific criteria. Users are able to create, rename, or remove sections and move work tasks between sections in order to customize the Estimate. Each section has a section total which is a summation of the prices of all of the work tasks within a given section. Sections that are approved by a client are included in the Estimate total.
